In this edition of the Italian Showdown, 85 athletes were awarded or named Champions, including Individuals, Doubles and Masters of all ages and levels
The Italian Showdown competition format allows the leaderboard to be filtered not only by ability division but also by age range. This way, all athletes have the opportunity to compete both globally in their division’s overall ranking and against their peers in the age group rankings, from 18 to over 60. So, even masters can finish on the overall podium.
Again this year, there were no cuts or eliminations until the end of the competition, so all athletes remained on the field to compete live from the first to the last workout. Everyone completed 5 tests based on strength, speed and ability over 2 or 3 days, with skills and loads calibrated to standard CrossFit ability levels, allowing everyone to have fun and challenge themselves, fighting until the last rep.
At the end of the competition, the top three overall athletes in each ability division, both individually and in pairs, were honored on the podium, receiving medals and prizes. Additionally, the top finishers in each age group across all ability divisions were named “Age Group Champions” of the 2026 Italian Showdown.
