Answers to the most frequent questions on: how to change your personal details, skill division, age group and heat time; how to make team substitutions and how to get a refund.
Can I change my personal details after submitting my registration?
Yes. If you want to update your personal details, your box or your t-shirt size, you can do so directly from your Competition Corner account. If you want to change your skill division instead, you must send us a request by e-mail.
Can I change the skill division I selected during registration?
Yes. If you registered in the wrong division, contact us as soon as possible! We can change your division only if slots are still available, and in any case no later than the registration closing date.
I'm in the wrong Age Group on the leaderboard, how do I fix it?
During registration, the system automatically places you in the Age Group matching your year of birth. If you are listed on the leaderboard in the wrong Age Group, correct the date of birth in your account.
Can I choose what time I take the floor or change my heat?
No. Heat times are assigned based on the participants' ability division, gender and year of birth. This way, every athlete takes the floor alongside their peers.
Can the team name be changed after submitting the registration?
Yes. The team captain — the person who completed the registration — can change the team name directly from their Competition Corner account. Changes are allowed until the registration closing date.
Can one or more team members listed in the registration be replaced?
Yes. The team captain who completed the registration can replace their partner directly from their Competition Corner account. Changes are allowed until the registration closing date.
Can the captain role be transferred to another team member?
Yes. The team captain can transfer their role to their partner directly from their Competition Corner account. After that, the new captain can replace the other member if necessary.
Can I transfer my registration to a friend or to someone on the waitlist?
No. Registration is strictly personal, as it is a formal act requiring acceptance of the rulebook by electronic signature. Under no circumstances may you transfer it to other people or resell it.
If I don't take part in the competition, can I get a refund?
Only if you took out the optional insurance policy during registration can you claim reimbursement of the fee directly from the insurance company in case of injury, illness or other impediments.
What do I need to do to claim a refund from the insurance?
Send your claim to the insurance company following the instructions in the confirmation e-mail you received right after registering. If you can no longer find the e-mail, read how on Competition Corner...
Answers to the most frequent questions on: how to access the competition, entry tickets for athletes and supporters, medical certificate and other documents, how to check in and collect your competitor pack.
Can I use the registration QR Code to enter the expo centre?
No. To pass through the expo turnstiles you need the RiminiWellness entry ticket. The e-mail with the Competition Corner QR code is only the confirmation of your competition registration.
Do I have to buy the RiminiWellness entry ticket to get in?
If you are an athlete registered for the competition, the ticket is free for you: a few weeks before the event we send you the invitation to download your complimentary pass. If you are a supporter, you must purchase the ticket on the RiminiWellness website.
Is the entry ticket free for the athletes' assistants?
No. The complimentary ticket is sent only to athletes registered for the competition. The athlete's coach, assistants and all spectators must purchase their own entry ticket on the RiminiWellness website.
The wrong name is printed on the ticket, how can I change it?
If you used the same account to generate tickets for other people (assistant, team partner, family members), the same name is printed on all the tickets. The name can no longer be changed, but the tickets are still valid because they have different serial numbers and QR codes, so you can use them at the turnstiles.
Does the athlete's complimentary ticket include free parking?
No. The complimentary ticket included in your competition registration covers expo entry for the athlete for 4 days and all RiminiWellness activities. Parking fees and arrangements are described on the RiminiWellness website.
Do children have to pay for the RiminiWellness entry ticket?
No. Entry is free for children under 12: the complimentary day ticket is issued directly at the expo ticket office. Minors aged between 12 and 17 are entitled to a reduced-price ticket.
Do I have to upload the waiver or other documents to my account?
No. During online registration you already provided your electronic signature accepting the full rulebook and all the terms regarding safety and waiver.
Do I have to bring a competitive medical certificate to check-in?
No. Since we do not register you with a sports club, no medical certificate is required to take part in the event. For your own safety, we still recommend undergoing a medical fitness check.
Can I send my coach to check in on my behalf?
No. Checks take place at the warm-up area entrance half an hour before your heat starts: you must show up in person exactly at the time shown in red in the competition schedule.
Can I send someone to collect my competitor pack if I don't show up?
No. The athlete pack is a token of appreciation for competitors who take the floor, so it is handed out only to registered athletes who are present. Under no circumstances can it be given to third parties or shipped to the homes of those absent.
Answers to the most frequent questions on: rankings and scoring system, scheduled workouts and score reviews, what to bring to the competition floor, award ceremony and rulebook.
How do the ranking and the workout scoring system work?
For each workout, 1st place receives 1 point, 2nd place receives 2 points, 3rd place receives 3 points, and so on... At the end of the competition, the athlete with the lowest total score ranks first, followed by the others.
How are ties in the rankings between two or more athletes handled?
In case of a tie in a single workout, the tied athletes receive the same number of points. If two or more competitors are tied in the overall ranking, the final placement is determined by counting the number of best finishes in the individual workouts.
What happens if I skip one or more of the scheduled workouts?
If you skip a test, you are ranked last in that workout, but you are not permanently eliminated from the competition; you can therefore keep competing by completing the other scheduled workouts.
Is there a workout briefing for athletes before taking the floor?
Before the start of each heat, a judge holds a quick briefing to explain the flow of the workout. Make sure you read and understand all the movement standards for the workouts published on the official website.
Can I request a score review after performing the workout?
Yes. If you believe there is a scoring error in the ranking, you must go immediately to the competition director desk to request a scorecard check. Video proof is admitted only for recounting missing rounds or reps, not for overturning no-reps called by the judge.
Do I need to bring my own jump rope, or is one provided for athletes?
Yes. If the scheduled workouts include Double Unders or Single Unders, you must bring your own jump rope.
Can I bring my own powdered chalk onto the competition floor?
No. The use of powdered chalk is forbidden inside the venue; that's why your competitor pack includes a bottle of cream chalk that does not spread through the air and meets the safety and hygiene criteria required by health regulations.
Can I use grips, wrist wraps and supports during the competition?
You can use the accessories allowed by the official CrossFit rulebook: yes to bar grips, wrist wraps and soft supports for protection or support; no to equipment providing mechanical or pulling advantages. The combined use of grips and tape, hooks and powerlifting straps is forbidden.
I can't see the Masters categories on the leaderboard, where are they?
Instead of the traditional Masters categories, the ranking features Age Groups within each ability division: first select the division, then click the filter menu to display only the athletes in the age range you are interested in.
Which athletes step onto the podium for the award ceremony?
The top three finishers in each ability division are awarded on the podium, regardless of age. In addition, Masters athletes have a collective award ceremony where the winners of each age range are named Age Group Champion.
Where can I read the competition rules and the rulebook?
During registration you are asked to read the rulebook and sign it for acceptance; if you wish to consult it later, you can download it as a PDF via the link available at the bottom of every page of the official website.
