The 2024 Italian Showdown returns to RiminiWellness from 31 May to 2 June 2024 with the same successful format even more inclusive
The ninth edition of the Italian Showdown will repeat the format introduced in 2023 which was so appreciated by athletes and the public, with the addition of more slots to accommodate up to 816 athletes of all ages and ability levels on the wonderful game field set up from Xenios USA in Hall A1 of the Rimini Expo Center, where CrossFit Italia and two training areas for the public will also be present with classes and workshops for the entire weekend.
By popular demand, the other novelty of the 2024 edition is the addition of a second category for Teams: in addition to the Experience category there will also be the Intermediate category. In both cases the teams are made up of 2 males and 1 female and the team members will have to take turns to complete 3 tests within the maximum time allowed. Strategy and harmony will be essential to win, and fun is guaranteed!
As always, CrossFit enthusiasts from all over Italy and the rest of the world will be able to compete live against their peers, without having to go through any online qualifications. To participate in the live event, just be quick to grab one of the slots available at the time of the registration opening on Competition Corner. And there will be no cuts, so no athlete runs the risk of leaving the competition before the final.
Additionally, all workouts will be programmed so that they can be performed during a single daily event. Each athlete will be busy only in the morning or only in the afternoon and will have the rest of the day free for other activities of the fair and for the beach. The competition will have a different duration based on the category: 1 day for Team Experience and Intermediate, 2 days for Individual Experience, 3 days for Individual Intermediate and Elite and for Age Groups.
